So who is "we". I am Sam and this is my daughter Lily. Hi.

Lily is now six, I think she was 4 when I took this picture of her licking my face at Christmas. It was one of those last minute pictures that you take, when you quickly grab the camera and take a quick snap, and I just love it!

When Lily was a baby she had eczema. I was fortunate enough to be able to make her an eczema cream (Calendula Balm) that worked and the eczema has never returned, however I am extra careful about what I put on her skin.

I think it's important to be transparent about the ingredients used in skincare. There are so many companies that try and hide what they are putting in their products, which is never a good sign.

Legally you have to list your ingredients with their INCI name (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient), however this can be confusing, which is why I list the common name ingredients as well as the INCI name. Lets use cacao powder for example. The INCI name for Cacao or Cocoa powder is Theobroma Cacao Extract, but if I just list the INCI name on my packaging it could be confusing to you as the customer. I think it is important for companies to also list the common name that we use day to day, which is why I use both on my packaging.

All customers should be able to pick up a product and easily understand what ingredients are being used. It shouldn't be hard work to figure out what's in a product.

I am proud of the ingredients I use in my products, I want to shout about them, not hide them. This should be the case for all companies.
